Annually, many of tourists travel to other countries in order to cure themselves and enjoy the tourist attractions of the country simultaneously. Currently, this type of tourism is very common and has turned into as asset in the pursuit of sustainable development and economic fertility in most countries. Regarding the fact that tourism is a low-cost industry with a relatively good profit, many developing countries have taken advantage of it and planned for its development. In line with what said, the present study aims at investigating and evaluating the impacting factors on the medical tourism development in Shiraz megalopolis. The dominant approach of the study is developmental with a descriptive, analytical methodology based on survey. For analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses, multivariate regression and path analysis were used. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS 19.0 and the map was drawn by Arc GIS. Findings depicted that while all the quality, culture, facilities, possibilities and ICT factors had a direct and positive relationship with the development of medical tourism, price bore a negative and reverse effect on it. In other words, the more prices increased, the less medical tourism developed and vice versa. Path analysis of the above mentioned also showed that all the factors namely, price, quality, culture, facilities, possibilities and ICT, in a direct and indirect way influenced the development of medical tourism in Shiraz.

This research is conducted with the aim of ranking the factors affecting the success of airlines’ strategic alliance, using experts’ points of view. For this purpose, based on the Hoffmann and Schlosser’s (2001) model for "Success Factors of Strategic Alliances", stages of the alliance evolution and its success factors were determined. Afterwards, the effect of these factors on the index of strategic alliance success and partners' satisfaction, were evaluated using the following criteria: financial success, market success, competitive condition improvement, and sustainability of the alliance. In this regard, points of view of 13 airline experts were sought. The initial questionnaire was formed out of the primary data taken from the interviews and observations, as well as the secondary data from library studies, which provided the tool for assessing the factors with most impact on the success of the airlines’ strategic alliances. Applying AHP, and with the help of the second questionnaire, the mentioned factors were ranked based on their impact on the alliance’s success. The resulted model indicated that the elements of alliance strategy symmetry with organization strategy, top management support, complementary competencies, trust-based mutual relationship, and agreement of fundamental values and objectives, all had an impact on the strategic alliance success or failure. Findings also revealed that the two factors of alliance strategy symmetry with organizational strategy, and the partner selection stage, had the most impact on the success of airlines strategic alliance. It has also been cleared that the market success was the confident criterion for evaluation of airlines alliance success.

This study examines factors influencing demand for international tourism in Iran. For this purpose, the number of incoming tourists to Iran has been used as dependent variable of international tourism demand. The effect of real income per capita of ten countries with the highest number of inbound tourists to Iran, Consumer price index for goods and services in Iran, market exchange rate, degree of economic openness and the dummy variable of Islamic revolution and war as the independent variable on the dependent variable is estimated. For this estimation Autoregressive Distributed Lag model (ARDL) is used. The results show real income per capita, market exchange rate and degree of economic openness variables have positive effect and consumer price index for goods and services in Iran and dummy variable (revolution and war) have negative effect on the number of inbound international tourism to Iran.
