In tourism marketing, pricing and advancement tools are very important and have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and brand equity of travel agencies. Each marketing activity affects brand equity, and knowing how marketing activities contribute to or hurt brand equity, allows marketing managers to develop effective marketing plans. In this study, in order to investigate the relationship between the price promotion and the brand equity of travel agencies, at first, by examining the literature, tools for promoting price and brand equity dimensions were identified. Also, based on existing theories, a conceptual model was developed in the form of five main hypotheses and four sub-hypotheses. In order to achieve the research goals, a sample of 461 passengers of travel agencies was selected to answer the questionnaire using convenience sampling. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by using a confirmatory factor analysis. Also, the validity or reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data then were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the analysis of the collected data, the price promotion and its tools, including cash discounts, volume discounts, price warranties, free services, frequent purchasing discounts and promotional gifts are positively related with brand equity as well as its four dimension that includes brand loyalty, perceived quality, brand awareness and brand association. The results of the study indicate that of the 6 price promotion tools in the research, free services and frequent purchasing discounts, are the most important and special gifts have the least priority in promoting the brand equity of travel agencies. Further; executive suggestions and subsequent studies were explained.

The image of the city, which is one of the basic prerequisites of urban brand building, is composed of various aspects. These aspects can include architecture and urbanism, traffic and transport infrastructure, monuments, environmental features, range of services, culture, economic and science and technology characteristics of the city. Together, these factors create an overall image of the city in the minds of residents and tourists, affecting their attitudes and behavior in different contexts. Among these behaviors is the choice of travel time for tourists. In this research, this impact has been examined and investigated, to see whether is it possible to make the time travel of the city closer to the desired distribution of time by means of the modifications made to the image of the city, in other words, to counteract the seasonal phenomenon of tourism? Based on the results of a questionnaire analysis distributed among 392 tourists in Mashhad city, it was found that among the dimensions of the image of the city, the promotion of the two dimensions of "economy and commerce" and "environment" can have the greatest impact on balancing the time distribution of travel throughout the year and tackling the seasonality phenomenon.

Higher education, compared to other educational levels, is of greater significance for being in charge of training expert human resources to create knowledge and transfer it to the lower levels. Among the component indices of higher education system, the scientific criteria, including learning factors, teaching factors, and learning conditions and facilities, correlate directly with the quality of academic courses. In order to explore the state of these criteria in tourism academic courses, two models are used: horizontal model (based on the scientific nature of courses) and vertical model (based on the education level and hierarchy). Having investigated the indices of scientific system of tourism education based on these two models, it allows ascertaining the efficiency of education system in terms of form and content. This research focuses on identification of the model and quality of scientific and learning criteria of tourism in Iran’s higher education, utilizing a comparative-longitudinal research method. A comparative study was also performed between Iran and Turkey, using interviews and secondary data analysis. Results indicate that although the number of students and tourism education centers has increased dramatically in Iran, the development model has not conformed to the selected horizontal and vertical models of the research in terms of form and content. In addition, serious shortcomings seem to exist in learning facilities and conditions of all educational courses.

Since long ago, health tourism has been one of the most attractive and popular. Various causes and factors in creating and developing this type of tourism need to be investigated and verified. The current research has been conducted to analyze and evaluate the critical components in creating sustainable health tourism in Tehran, using the Padin Model to achieve the goal. The research method is a mix that has investigated the issue using the qualitative method of the expert panel and the quantitative survey method. The tools for collecting data and information in the qualitative method are semi-structured interviews and questionnaires in the quantitative stage. Statistical analysis of research data was done using SPSS-26 and Smart-PLS3 software. In the qualitative stage, 15 experts from related fields participated in the panel, and in the quantitative stage, using stratified sampling, 26 experts answered the questionnaire questions. According to the analysis and coding of semi-structured interviews, 71 basic themes, 24 organizing themes, and six global themes were extracted in the quantitative stage while confirming all the components. The values of the economic component were calculated higher than in other cases. According to the research results, health tourism can be among the reliable alternatives in different aspects. Also, it can be a factor in guiding related policies and politics for sustainable tourism development in the future. Introduction Today, people travel for health, fitness, and well-being, not relaxation. In response to this growing demand, countries, health and medical service providers, and hospitality and tourism organizations are adapting to offer a broader range of health, wellness, and medical tourism experiences. Among the factors that encourage health tourists to look for an alternative health tourism destination are the cost of the medical services provided, the medical staff, the medical center’s reputation, and their credibility. In addition, other factors that lead to increased demand for health tourism services are ease of access, travel affordability, and innovative health technologies.Tehran is one of the most important cities in Iran in providing health and treatment services in the region, and it has the most facilities and places for accommodation treatment. It is the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. For many years and in different governments, measures have been taken to create sustainable health tourism, but they still need to be managed and planned cohesively. Due to the existence of specialized and skilled treatment staff, the existence of up-to-date and even international facilities in hospitals and residential centers, and the low cost of treatment and leisure time, compared to other countries, this city is considered the primary option in providing health tourism services. Despite the efforts of various officials and stakeholders in this field, it is still observed that there are various challenges in creating sustainable health tourism in this city, which requires further investigation and deepening. On the other hand, it is necessary to use the potential and actual capacities in this city so that in this research, it is possible to create a basis for effective measures to be taken to create sustainable health tourism. On the other hand, despite the importance of this issue and the existence of various research in the field of health tourism, it can be seen that comprehensive research that can analyze the critical components of creating sustainable health tourism in Tehran has not yet been carried out and needs to be done. It has more analysis and deepening. Therefore, investigating and analyzing critical components in health tourism development in Tehran are essential to show future research directions and enrich the health tourism literature. As a result, this study examines the critical components of sustainable health tourism while filling the theoretical gap in this field. It also examines the dynamics of this type of tourism more deeply.Materials and MethodsRegarding practical purpose and methodology, this research is classified as mixed research. First, using the qualitative method of the panel of experts, the components and indicators related to the creation of sustainable health tourism in Tehran are counted and extracted; finally, using the quantitative survey method, each of the extracted items is tested. to comment on their authenticity and approval. The participants of the qualitative phase of the research, who were identified using purposeful sampling, are professors and executive and research specialists in the fields of tourism management, marketing management, urban and rural planning and management, medical service management, regional management, and development, development management, sociology, and management. Fifteen people participated in the panel. Moreover, in the quantitative phase, a questionnaire containing the above components and indicators was sent to experts and specialists in tourism - especially health tourism - to express their opinions regarding their proficiency and approval. The data collection tool is different in each phase. In the qualitative phase, semi-structured interviews were conducted on tourism activities related to health, well-being, and well-being. With nature or environment" were organized in Tehran.Discussion and Results As we know, simply using and implementing a model cannot solve problems. For this reason, there is a need to create local and built models to be by with the spatial and temporal conditions and effectively achieve the goals. Therefore, referring to the items mentioned in the methodology section, using the expert panel method, the critical indicators of this area extracted from the perspective of tourism experts were examined and completed. It should be noted that the Padin Model’s components were considered the primary basis of these indicators and components. With semi-structured interviews of experts, 142 primary codes were extracted, which were categorized into three basic, organizing, and comprehensive themes using Attride-Stirling coding. By adopting the inductive approach, 71 basic themes, 24 organizing themes, and six global themes were extracted, placed in the three economic, social, and environmental dimensions of Padin’s model, and management and political, spatial, physical, and technological components were also added. In the quantitative part, the economic component has a higher rank and value among other components, which shows the importance and sensitivity of this category in the field of health tourism in Tehran.ConclusionsThe global prosperity in medical and health care has made tourist destinations and companies in health tourism an essential part of the tourism industry. This industry, a mixture of medical and health services, leisure, and entertainment, can be among the reliable economic, cultural, and social alternatives. From a theoretical and operational point of view, this study is expected to make a significant contribution to the field of health tourism, and the above findings can confirm this. According to the research findings, each of the themes extracted can be considered as strategies and policies that drive the development of health tourism in Tehran. The collaborative development of the public and private sectors is effective in this field, and the better development of academic cooperation and the health tourism industry can imply "sustainable health tourism" in the city of Tehran.

Recreational-sports tourism as a branch of tourism can stimulate sustainable economic, social, and cultural development in the region. Gilan Province has an excellent potential to attract tourists with many tourist attractions and suitable weather conditions. Therefore, based on the fishbone diagram, this research investigated the quality barriers of leisure-sports tourism in Gilan Province. The research employed a descriptive-survey and practical approach conducted through field methods. The statistical population comprised recreational and sports tourists in Gilan Province, with a sample of 223 individuals selected through convenient sampling. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire utilizing a 5-point Likert scale. Ten physical education professors and experts confirmed face and content validity. The tool's reliability was established through Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α=0.93) and construct validity (exploratory and confirmatory). Data modeling and analysis were conducted using (PLS4) and (SPSS22) software. The findings revealed that, from the perspective of recreational and sports tourists in Gilan Province, the most significant obstacles among the seven dimensions (transportation and route, accommodation, return home, qualification and license, destination, activities, and reception and information) were identified as return home (5.50), destination (4.92), and residence (4.26). On the other hand, reception and information (2.86), qualification and licenses (3.25), and activities (3.54) were perceived as the least significant obstacles. Consequently, organizers and officials of recreational and sports tourism tours in Gilan Province should prioritize addressing these obstacles in each sector to enhance the overall quality of tourism experiences.IntroductionIn the contemporary era, tourism is pivotal in capturing widespread societal attention and representing a cornerstone of any country's economy. The tourism industry encompasses diverse dimensions, including recreational, medical, cultural, social, sports, religious, commercial, and political tourism, progressing rapidly. Sports tourism, formed by the integration of 'sports' and 'tourism,' is a particularly noteworthy type. In essence, sports become a crucial and almost constant activity for travelers, woven into the fabric of tourism experiences. Sports tourism entails journeys undertaken for non-commercial reasons, officially or unofficially, focusing on recreation or sports spectatorship. It encourages athlete participation, involves sporting or recreational events, occurs in the short term, and may unfold within or outside the country. In service industries such as tourism, the role of quality is paramount. The fishbone diagram serves as a valuable tool for quality management, systematically linking undesirable quality features of products or services to materials, processes, and methods for improvement. A cause-and-effect diagram is a precise tool to identify the root causes of organizational problems and obstacles by illustrating cause-and-effect relationships. With the increasing prominence of the tourism industry in sports, substantial academic research has been conducted. However, a more fruitful avenue may involve examining this field comparatively among countries with more advanced sports tourism practices. To comprehend the economic and revenue-generating aspects of the tourism industry, particularly in Gilan Province, renowned for its climatic diversity, historical attractions, and natural beauty, it attracts over five million visitors annually. Hence, this study focuses on the quality of the sports tourism industry, posing the main research question: What dimensions influence the quality of sports tourism in Gilan Province, and what are the obstacles within each dimension?MethodologyThis study aimed to investigate the quality barriers of recreational sports tourism in Gilan Province using the fishbone diagram. The research employed a descriptive and practical survey conducted through field methods. The statistical population comprised recreational and sports tourists in Gilan Province, with a sample of 223 individuals selected through convenient sampling. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale. Ten physical education professors and experts confirmed face and content validity. The tool's reliability was established through Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α=0/93) and construct validity (exploratory and confirmatory). Data modeling and analysis were conducted using (PLS4) and (SPSS22) software.ResultsTo validate the factor structure of the questionnaire investigating obstacles to the quality of recreational-sports tourism in Gilan Province, two methods—exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis—were employed, guided by the cause-and-effect diagram. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test revealed that the significance level of all components in both leagues is less than 0/05 (α), signaling a non-normal data distribution. Consequently, non-parametric tests and structural equation modeling using Smart PLS version four were employed for testing statistical hypotheses related to them. Three types of validity (content validity, convergent validity (AVE), and discriminant validity) were utilized to confirm the validity of the measurement tool. Content validity was established through expert surveys, and questionnaire reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability coefficients. The measurement tool demonstrates adequate validity (content, convergent, and discriminant) and reliability, and the fit of the structural model of the research was confirmed. Results of the Friedman test indicated a significant difference between the effective dimensions of the obstacles to the quality of recreational and sports tourism. The priority of the obstacles, in order, includes returning home (5/50), destination (4/92), accommodation (4/26), transportation and route (3/67), activities (3/54), qualifications and permits (3/25), and information and reception (2/86). DiscussionIn light of Figure 5, which highlights the significance of all seven dimensions—transportation and route, accommodation, return home, qualifications and permits, destination, activities, and reception and information—strategic planning by relevant managers is crucial. Utilizing insights from factor analysis and the fishbone diagram, managers can prioritize these dimensions and allocate resources, emphasizing investments in human resources and infrastructure and enhancing the physical environment. Giving special attention to visual aspects, coupled with effective executive management, holds the potential to effectively address and eliminate the identified obstacles, thereby elevating the quality of recreational sports tourism.

Theme parks represent a huge and fast-growing part of the world's hospitality and tourism industry, which has become an interesting and important research topic for marketers and activists in this industry. Creating and preserving memorable experiences along with meaningful mental image is an essential part of the marketing management of the water park industry which leads to behavioral goals such as recommending the park to others and the intention of visitors to re-visit. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing the behavioral intentions of tourists visiting water parks in the city of Mashhad. This is a descriptive research and of the correlational type. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, 384 visitors were selected using a simple sampling method and a standardized questionnaire. Also, structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. The results of the hypotheses testing showed that the quality of experience has a positive effect on the mental image, satisfaction and perceived value of the visitors, and the mental image of the visitors has a positive and significant effect on perceived value, satisfaction, and pleasure of the visitors. Although the perceived value and pleasure of visitors have a positive effect on satisfaction, the visitor's pleasure does not directly affect his or her behavioral intentions, and this effect occurs indirectly through satisfaction. The findings provide insights for water park managers and marketers and allow them to understand the factors affecting visitor behavior such as recommending others and the intention to re-visit the water park and as a result, organize services in a way that meets the needs of visitors

In branding projects, the lack of a suitable domestic model for branding causing inefficiency. The aim of this research is to provide a model based on the human activities of the tourism sector of Iran. This fundamental research is of a qualitative type, which was done using grounded theory; so, the research data were collected using the library studies and interviews with 20 managers familiar with this concept. Findings show that institutionalization of a brand in human resources is the main phenomenon of internal branding and communication, educational, knowledge management and human resources management play the role of causal factors. Also, leadership-facilitation and motivational-management categories have a strategic role in this model. The innovation of this research is the presentation of a model derived from the background data of the Iranian community. Until now no other model was proposed for the tourism and services sector of Iran. This study showed that the internalization and alignment of employees with the brand not only results in desirable employee outcomes, but also leads to financial rewards, stakeholder interests, and desirable spiritual outcomes. Therefore, domestic branding is an inward measure for the development of all sectors of tourism.

Nowadays sustainable tourism development is no more considered as a choice but a necessity. In order to achieve sustainable tourism development, all actors in tourism system should undertake the sustainability commitments such as environmental commitment. The purpose of this paper is determining the level of environmental commitment in Tehran accommodation facilities, and identifying the factors that affect the propensity of managers of these units to adopt environmental considerations in this sector of tourism industry. Therefore the exploratory- descriptive research method is employed. Senior managers of 1-5 star hotels comprise the statistical population of this study. In addition to the descriptive statistics methods, various nonparametric inferential statistics tests are applied in analyzing the collected data.Findings of the study manifest that environmental management in the studied hotels can be classified into four levels of environmental commitment with most hotels situating at the basic level of environmental commitment (level 1). Also, according to the research findings “ cost saving” is the most important motivation and “heavy cost of establishing and implementing environmental management practices” is the main obstacle to the implementation of environmental practices. An important finding of this study is that public ownership, size of hotels and the type of their clientele affect achieving more advanced levels of environmental commitment. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the indicators and design a desirable governance model in the tourism industry of Iran. This is a qualitative, applied-development research based on the grounded theory. The statistical population includes university professors of tourism management, organization managers, parliamentarians, and tourism industry activists. The statistical sample consists of 26 people who have been selected using judgmental and snowball sampling. Semi-structured deep interviews with preset questions have been done by comparing data in open, axial, and selective coding to the theoretical saturation stage and separation of main and sub-categories. For data analysis, Strauss and Corbin’s grounded theory (1998) have been used.
The results show three indicators of integrated management, security and attitudes toward the target market are emerging indicators from the desired pattern of tourism good governance research. This template is a new strategy in modifying existing management practices, and the consequence of this is sustainable development and employment in the tourism industry. In the end, there are suggestions for the promotion of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization to the Ministry of Tourism, integrated management of the organization's policies along with the participation of all sectors of the government, private affairs and associations in Iran.
