Attracting foreign tourists could have a positive impact on the economy through the income achieved, But this requires the provision of minimums that have a determining effect on tourists’ decisions about whether choose or avoid entering a particular country. One of the most important variables influencing the decision is related to safety. The present article was to investigate the effect of institutional political risk index and its sub-indices on attracting tourists. Hence, MENA countries during the period 1995 to 2016 were selected as the test sample. To estimate the models we used FMOLS[1], and results showed that political risk as total factor has a determinant impact on attracting tourists. Also, the estimation showed the internal and external conflict sub-indices among other political risk ones have had a greater effect on attracting foreign tourists. Incoming tour guides’ performance as cultural representatives and line workers is very important in cross-cultural interactions. The purpose of this research is to identify and Prioritize effective characteristics on performance of incoming tour guides from the perspective of foreign tourists. This is an applied research and in terms of the data collection method, it is descriptive-survey. The statistical population of this study included all foreign tourists on guided tours in the period of April to July 2015 in Tehran. A sample of 385 people was obtained using Cochran's formula. Of these, 328 tourists responded to the questionnaire. For data analysis, Friedman test, confirmatory factor analysis, SPSS, and LISREL software have been used. The results show from the foreign tourists’ perspective, priorities of professional and specialized characteristics is higher than individual characteristics and behaviors on the performance of incoming tour guides.

Annually, many of tourists travel to other countries in order to cure themselves and enjoy the tourist attractions of the country simultaneously. Currently, this type of tourism is very common and has turned into as asset in the pursuit of sustainable development and economic fertility in most countries. Regarding the fact that tourism is a low-cost industry with a relatively good profit, many developing countries have taken advantage of it and planned for its development. In line with what said, the present study aims at investigating and evaluating the impacting factors on the medical tourism development in Shiraz megalopolis. The dominant approach of the study is developmental with a descriptive, analytical methodology based on survey. For analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses, multivariate regression and path analysis were used. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS 19.0 and the map was drawn by Arc GIS. Findings depicted that while all the quality, culture, facilities, possibilities and ICT factors had a direct and positive relationship with the development of medical tourism, price bore a negative and reverse effect on it. In other words, the more prices increased, the less medical tourism developed and vice versa. Path analysis of the above mentioned also showed that all the factors namely, price, quality, culture, facilities, possibilities and ICT, in a direct and indirect way influenced the development of medical tourism in Shiraz.
