Abstract This paper attempts to clarify the domain of qualitative research. To this end, the paper delineates the paradigmatic underpinning of qualitative and quantitative research, explores the characteristics of the qualitative researcher and introduces some of the strategies of qualitative research. Quality in qualitative research has been the subject of considerable debate and there are differing views on the issue. This paper reviews two broad perspectives to quality in qualitative research and their respective quality criteria.

Abstract Domestic tourism, with so many negative and positive social, cultural, economic and environmental impacts, is important part of internal travels. Studying tourists' attitudes, motivations and behaviors in destinations is very significant in identifying these impacts and contributes greatly to enhancing the strengths and removing the weaknesses. It also enables the managers to come up with applicable solutions and helps them in decision making. The findings of this article are extracted from 100 questionnaires filled in 3 different locations on Haraz Road on March 2007. Abstract Tourism industry is one of the human activities that has benefited greatly from Information Technology. This paper presents a conceptual model for accommodation in tourism industry. This model shows how recommendation system improves tourism services. This system is a subsystem of Decision Support Systems and includes various elements such as management model base, data model base and user interface. This system receives the tourists' conditions and preferences from user interface and proposes a range of choices to them. So tourists can select the best choice among the proposed choices in respect to his or her preferences and reserve an accommodation.

Abstract Tourism and ecotourism are important in the growth of cultures and recognition of nations. Its development will contribute to a country's progress and economic and social transformation and job creation. Tourism and ecotourism attractions are the most important bases in planning. This research attempts to consider ecotourism attractions in Yazd province and to introduce available potentials in this field. Therefore, location and relocation of a museum within a city or a region and its interaction and relationship with urban applicabilities m the region and country are of utmost importance. This paper is a systematic and comprehensive study at the level of region, and then, the city chosen. The study is based on urbanization panning and principles on one hand and museum requirements on the other hand. The final aim is to locate an appropriate place for constructing the regional museum.
