Oshtorankuh protected area is a vast land, comprising I 04355 hectares, with distinctive characteristics such as Gahar Lake - as the gem of the area• exclusive species of plants and amimals, a suitable climate for tourism during half of the year, etc, is now regarded as an ecotourism destination at provincial and national levels. In order to carry out a feasibility study on ecotourism development in the area, this paper makes a reconnaissance of the area's ecological sources including plants, soil, water resources, wildife, geology and geomorphology. At analysis phase, the above-mentioned collected data were classified and processed in order to be entered into a GIS system.
