Abstract

the present study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the mechanisms affecting of perceived organizational obstruction in tourism and hospitality businesses. This is an applied-developmental study in terms of purpose and a qualitative in terms of method, and was conducted using the grounded theory method. The participants are employees of the tourism and hospitality industry in Fars province and the necessary data were collected through interviews , The findings show that individuals' attitudes and perceptions, weak skills and behaviors, managers' characteristics and actions, and the weakness of the organization's human resources management system are causes of perceived organizational obstruction in tourism and hospitality businesses. In addition, the expectation gap of employees, the prevalence of anti-citizenship behaviors in the organization, the structural characteristics of the organization, the cultural characteristics of the organization, and the characteristics of jobs and work tasks also create the context for the formation of this phenomenon.
