The purpose of this study is to identify the policymaking instruments in Iran's tourism industry. This study tries to find an appropriate answer to the question of what instruments can be utilized in tourism policymaking. In order to find the response, researchers used a hybrid research method (qualitative-quantitative). Data were collected with a heuristic approach to tourism policy instruments. Based on the elements identified in this study, it can be inferred that identification of tourism policymaking tools is a solution for governments to pursue to the successful accomplishment of tourism development. Finally, it was indicated that respecting the role governments play in tourism, policymaking instruments can be divided into three categories: regulatory instruments, cognitive instruments, and normative instruments. In the quantitative section, the measure designed by researchers for confirming or refuting the hypotheses, possessed the required content validity and the approved Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient (0.857).

The aim of present study is to investigate the effect of constraints on themotivation of ski resort tourists. The population includes all of ski resort touristsin Shemshak and Tochal stations which has attended in sports at least threetimes in the year. Regarding to unfeasibility of certain population and uncertainsize, the sample size was determined through Cochran formula (N=141). Thedata were gathered by Wei (2008) questionnaire. Reliability was tested throughAlpha Cronbach for constraints and motivation as 0.756 and 0.898, respectively. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation)and inferential statistics (Kolmogorov, Smirnoff, correlation coefficient ofPearson, and multi-various linear Regression) were used at the level of P≤0.05.The results showed that there was meaningful reverse relationship betweenconstraints and its dimensions and motivation of ski resort tourists (r- 0.362,P=0.001). Also, the interpersonal factors (t=2.251, B=0.247) and structuralfactors (t=2.331, B=0.238) were the most effective predictors. Therefore, regarding to the results, facilitating the tourists’ attendance through trainingand taking advantage of experiences in the field of ski and resolving structuralconstraints in order to provide security for tourists is so important for enhancingtheir motivation and continuous attendance in sky resorts

Paying attention to policy-making in local sustainable development, will not only strengthen national endogenous economic growth, but also increase employment rates and GDP particularly in the public service sector. In spite of the efforts made in recent years, health tourism has not yet been well placed in the institutional structure of the country and the existing regulations, and it is far from the objective set forth in the vision document, which is to make Iran the first in the field of health tourism among the countries of the region. However, in development programs, the government has always been required, based on its planning, to provide a significant part of the health and medical needs of the country through the export of goods, medical services, and health tourism. The present research tries to answer the following questions by adopting a qualitative approach based on the thematic analysis method, which seeks out the output of the basic, organizing, and inclusive themes related to the research question. The problem is that health tourism in the country faces what challenges in the field of legislation and implementation? What measures did institutions responsible for promoting and developing this sector of the economy take? What challenges and requirements do the experience of successful countries in this field remind us? Research findings indicate that policy-making challenges in this area are divided into four sections: economic challenges, socio-cultural challenges, political challenges and administrative challenges. Among them, in order to promote health tourism status, attention to political and administrative challenges in the policies development phase is more important.

This research seeks sustainable development of the region through the limitation of usable areas and the location of tourism resorts. Therefore, using the modified ecological model of land use capability for tourism and its integration with socioeconomic, infrastructural and legal indicators affecting the location of tourism resorts in GIS software, tourism destinations in the central Alborz protected area were located and mapped. The results show that 86.3% of the region has adequate environmental and social power for tourism, 12.1% of which is the best option for ecotourism. The main focus of tourism is around the eastern and northeastern parts of the region. Final destinations are categorized in terms of performance at four levels: local, regional, national, and international. The international level has the most frequency with 80.02 percent

The present study analyzes the factors affecting the commodification of rural space in Mahmoudabad county of Mazandaran province. In this study, the descriptive-analytical method was used. The statistical population of the study consisted of 91 villages in Mahmoudabad County according to the Census of Iran in 2016. Half of the villages were selected randomly. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire and processing of satellite images in four periods. The validity of the research instrument was evaluated by the opinion of the relevant professors and experts and its reliability was determined by internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha which ranged from 0.76 to 0.94 for various variables indicating the optimality of the questionnaire. SPSS 22 software was used for data analysis. The tests used in this study were frequency test, single sample t-test, and chi-square test. The results show that the weakness of the tax system (withholding tax on vacant and second homes for tourism, withholding tax on profits from the sale of land and housing), the inefficiency of the banking system (high-interest rates), the weakness of government policies to support the manufacturing sector have made the Mahmoudabad tourism environment fragile. The consequences can be drastic changes in land use, expansion of construction and landscape destruction.

Tourism is a complex system involving multiple stakeholders. When these stakeholders have different perceptions and goals regarding tourism development, conflicts can arise among them in various areas. To achieve sustainable tourism advantages for destinations and tourist satisfaction, we must identify the conflicts between stakeholders, their causes, and the underlying reasons. This study focuses on examining the issue of conflicts among tourism stakeholders using a combined methodological approach, meta-synthesis, and a multi-criteria decision-making model to comprehensively identify existing conflicts, identify the causes of conflicts in tourist destinations, explain the types of conflicts, and prioritize conflicts. By analyzing 37 existing studies, 30 conflict parameters were identified using the meta-synthesis method, and based on the opinions of 15 tourism experts, prioritization was performed using the fuzzy Delphi method. The results show that parameters such as hindering the development of tourist activities due to environmental regulations, unfair distribution of tourism benefits, and disagreement in allocating incentives and financial rewards to stakeholders are the most important areas of conflict among tourism stakeholders, with conflicting interests and violation of the rights and interests of others being the most important causes.
